Nowadays, more and more people have spare time for fishing, but few of them know about fishing knowledge. Instead of using a lure, you can also try natural bait, which fish always love. This reduces glare and allows you to better see fish and your lure in the water. The tide is the most important thing about saltwater fishing. Fish hooks are very sharp, so be careful where you cast your line.

Fishing is unpredictable at the best of times and you simply never know what is going to happen next. Fishing reels are especially susceptible to damage on the beach, so you want to be careful when setting up your equipment. This interactive map allows you to search by water body, fish species, and spincast reel GPS coordinates to find your fishing destination.

This type of structure is most common on man-made reservoirs created by flooding steep-walled river valleys or canyons where it's common to encounter points and even cliff edges where holding your boat a comfortable cast from shore means sitting atop 50 to 90 feet of water.

These fish provide excellent nighttime summer fishing. Bass hit these baits hard, and an instant hookset is recommended. I start out fishing the clearest water in the lake, which is usually by the dam in winter months. Since some of these spots can get into the 50- to 75-foot realm - deeper than most of us are used to fishing bass - vertical jigging or live-bait "balloon lining" are often easy answers.

Even if you have the right choice of bait or lures, you will have much better success if it is presented properly. There are hook brands, both single and treble, constructed from very thin gauge steel delivering the same, if not better strength than much bulkier hooks.

Contrast is important when selecting lures: too much difference between a lure and its' surroundings and a fish will figure something is wrong with this picture. At the end of the day, the more time you spend on the water, the better your chances. You can also catch crayfish or frogs and use them as bait.

The old saying is that big baits catch big fish. By knowing all the drop-offs and vegetation of the river floor, it's much easier to define where you should cast your baits or lures to start catching some pike. Sometimes, all you need to entice a pike into biting your hook is a noisy lure.
