Do you want to stand out in the crowd of the partygoers especially on this coming Halloween holiday? Now you can with crazy contact lenses. With unusual and crazy design, you can look COOL and have a lot of fun with crazy lenses. You can make use of crazy contact lenses (or halloween lenses) to enhance your costume choice especially in special event such as Halloween. The most popular crazy contact lenses in the market is from Cooper Vision.allaboutvision.com 8.6) with or without prescription. Crazy contact lenses are daily-wear soft contact lenses that require eye care like any other contact lenses including nightly removal, cleaning and disinfections. In general, crazy contact lenses can be used up to a year if properly cared. Crazy lenses come in dozens of designs, beside the best seller Cat eye, Red spiral, Black spiral, you also can find the latest new designs Darth, Angelic, Sith, White Out, Vader and many more. Picture on the right shows Vader crazy lenses. With the latest design of crazy lenses depicting 32 NFL logos, now you can get a pair of the NFL Crazy Lenses to show that you are the ultimate fan for your favorite NFL team.

These soft contact lenses are designed to feel comfortable throughout a long day of wear, and give you the option to leave your glasses at home if they’re cramping your style. And, shipping is free. These lenses have a trick up their sleeve: a visibility tint. With these one-day disposable lenses, you won’t have to worry about lenses drying out over time. Each pair is designed to be worn just once, so they’ll always be clear and comfortable. Acuvue Oasys lenses are hewn from silicone hydrogel, a material that’s designed to breathe. These lenses let oxygen flow more readily to the eye—as much as five times more than traditional plain-hydrogel lenses—which can help your eyes stay comfortable throughout the day. For eyes stricken with astigmatism, a traditional contact lens won’t cut it, as the lenses’ round curvature slips and slides around astigmatic eyes’ ovular shape.

This iteration of Oasys lenses arrives oval-shaped from the start and are fortified with a blink-stabilized lens to keep them steady even if you spend the day losing staring contests. To boot, the lenses provide built-in UV protection to help eyes stay healthy. 20 value is good towards the purchase of any contact lens, eyeglasses, or sunglasses purchase. These stories can be true, but often they are attributable to poor contact lens care, hygiene, wear, or simply the wrong contact lens fit or an irreputable contact lens brand. I have never had a bad experience and I’ve worn Halloween contacts for the past two Halloweens - one hot white cat eye lens and the other a huge black pupil with red around the rim. Although my experiences were awesome, you can read about a few of the horror stories in my article about contact lens safety. There are probably an infinite number of types of Halloween lenses for sale on the market.

I will go over my favorite design types. I dislike sclera lenses, those that cover your entire eye, because that cuts off all oxygen flow to the eye and is not comfortable. I am also not sure if there are any FDA-approved or certified safe sclera lenses, so I would not recommend any of this lens type to any interested in purchasing Halloween contact lenses. The fun part about Halloween lenses, and Halloween in general, is that they let you change from your normal self to become anyone you want and your eyes are part of that transformation. Even normal color contacts allow for a part of this type of physical paired with mental freedom and transformation to take place.

There are so many different style and color options to choose from, and all can completely change your look, even making you unrecognizable or a different person physically and mentally while you wear them. Cat eye lenses are versatile and can be worn for many different costume types. Halloween costume and you are good to go. For example ‘zombie cat’, ‘zombie nurse’, ‘vampire football player’ the list could go on infinitely. They are in the shape of two half moons and have an eery feel, since no human is naturally born with this eye shape. Cats are one of the few animals naturally born with this type of eye shape, hence the name ‘Cat Eye’ contacts.

These lenses are made in many unnatural colors as well, which is what makes them fun and lends even more of an eery feel, since no one is born with white or pink eye colors. UV lens contacts are crazy because they glow under UV lights, similar to UV paint or white shirts that glow under UV light. They look the same as any other colored contact in normal lighting, and then they glow, giving off their own light while under a UV glare. UV lenses are the most unique Halloween lens option, and technically could be available in any lens design type. Some Halloween contact lenses have a funky design such as mesh, hearts, checkers, insects, or stars, that make it clear these are not the wearer’s natural eyes. This leaves people half wondering if what they are seeing is real.

The designs can be fun, however they are so unnatural they almost lose the eery Halloween feel many other Halloween contacts have. Huge pupil lenses are two color lenses, black plus one other color, where black takes up the majority of the eye, without covering the entire eye as a sclera lens does. This means that people will naturally feel something is off, or if they are very perceptive or high in emotional intelligence they might think you are nervous, excited or attracted to them, depending on the surrounding external circumstances. They may also see you as more attractive, which is an added bonus for the women.

Werewolf contacts usually have two to three colors surrounding the black pupil of the eye. These colors are usually lighter such as orange and yellow, and radiate from the eye in waves or a glowing manner to simulate the eyes of a werewolf. Not that werewolves exist in real life, but the eyes of werewolves as they have been portrayed in movies and books. Cat eye lenses look more unnatural due to their shape, however werewolf lenses possess unique colors that are not found in human’s natural eyes, and so are also an otherworldly Halloween costume option. No animals really naturally possess the colors found in many werewolf lenses, and it is their color that gives them their unique edge and Halloweeny feel. The last type of Halloween lens I will discuss today are lenses made with a specific Halloween costume in mind.

Specific-costume lenses are great when you have a specific idea in mind and want your contacts to complement your idea either with direct drawings of your costume in your eye, or a more costume-specific feel. Halloween contact lenses are prevalent in today’s world and online marketplace, just make sure you have your prescription ready and are buying from a trusted source. There are so many options available in almost any color for any costume you could ever dream of. Even UV lenses which will glow under special lighting types and give an otherworldly feel. My personal favorite are the white cat-eye lenses which seem to glow even without UV light, and have the eery cat eye shape not found naturally in human eyes.

Bold and shocking, our white contact lenses are the perfect way to stand out from the crowd. These plain white contacts completely cover your natural eye color, leaving just your pupil visible. They look very dramatic and can be worn with lots of different Halloween costumes, from zombies to androids. Ocean Colored Contact Lenses are a great choice for costumes and parties. They combine bright fashion designs with exceptional quality and comfort. These colored contact lenses feel great, thanks to their high water content and oxygen permeability. Comfortable to wear and easy to clean, these colored contacts make it easy to create a stunning costume look.

In an ever expanding universe of wearables, Samsung is doing its best to keep all bases covered. Today, the publication of a patent application shows the company is developing smart contact lenses. The patent application, filed in South Korea, shows a contact lens equipped with a tiny display, a camera, an antenna, and several sensors that detect movement and the most basic form of input using your eyes: blinking. The display projects images directly into the eye of the wearer. An external device, a smartphone, is needed for processing. According to the application, the primary reason for the development of smart contact lenses is the limited image quality that can be achieved with smart glasses.webmd.com Lenses can provide a more natural way to provide augmented reality than smart glasses, though we can image the privacy debate will reach entirely new heights when cameras are essentially hidden in contact lenses. So far, Google is known to be working on smart contact lenses, but Samsung’s patent was filed back in 2014, so they’ve been at it for quite a while, too.

Oxygen and gas permeable contact lenses are rigid, smaller, more comfortable to wear and more healthy for the eyes than ever before. But, these contacts are not to be confused with the old style hard contact lens. Hard contact lenses were made of a material called polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). A PMMA lens was difficult to get used to because it was so uncomfortable to wear. The material from which it was made was not permeable and therefore did not let the eyes breathe. Soft contacts came into play in 1971. Soft contacts are actually the most popular type of lens.

They are a lot more comfortable than the PMMA lens. Soft contacts also allow for plenty of oxygen to get through to the eyes. The one big distinction between the soft and the gas permeable contact lenses is that the gas permeable (GP) lens is smaller. The advantages of GPs far outweigh the detriments. Because of the rigidity of the GP lens, it may take some time to get used to wearing this type of lens. GPs are not as rigid as the old style contact and are much smaller. GPs have more durability than the soft type. Gas permeable contact lenses are breakable, yet not easily torn; unlike soft contacts. Even so, breaking them takes some effort. No water is used to plump up this lens which makes it resistant to the effects of tears and perspiration.

Lipids and proteins adhere to soft lenses when tears are present or perspiration gets into the eyes. The lens becomes cloudy and makes the vision somewhat blurry. GP contacts are resistant to the deposits that tend to cling to soft lenses. And they won't aggregate debris at same pace as the soft lens will. GPs are much easier to clean and keep clean. Gas permeable contact lenses are also long lasting; which means less expense in the long run. Where a soft lens may last a day or a month, the GP lens lasts for years. Of course, a change is necessary if a person's prescription changes. In the log run, GPs can provide better overall vision. GPs are often prescribed for people who can't obtain acceptable vision using a soft lens. Those who have had refractive surgery. Optimal vision can be achieved when using gas permeable contact lenses. Some lens wearers are sensitive to certain materials and have a high level of allergic reactions. Because of the fact that GPs do not contain polyaminopropylbiguanide, chlorhexidine, polyquad, or BAK, patients can rest easy that they are good candidates for these lenses. Purified benzyl alcohol and no preservatives add to this surety.

Some 45 million Americans wear contact lenses. Now, a trio of researchers has done a first study on what happens to these lenses after they leave our eyes. Charlie Rolsky, a Ph.D. 0027s lead researcher, told Live Science. 10 metric tons of plastic lenses are ending up in U.S. 0027t biodegrade but instead fragment, sometimes ending up in surface water, the researchers found. They interviewed workers at municipal sewage plants who confirmed they had seen lenses in wastewater, the researchers told The New York Times. The researchers also tested what happened to contacts in liquids of varying densities, finding that they always sink to the bottom. 0027s especially dangerous for bottom-feeding fish, who mistake the lenses for food. The American Optometric Association recommends that patients recycle their contact lenses (and contact cases, boxes and solution) if they live in an area that allows for it. 00a0for its Biotrue line, which took in 1.9 million contacts last year, according its recycling partner, Terracycle.

Every day, 45 million Americans stuff slivers of flexible plastic into their eyes, hoping to look less like nerds. While contacts-wearers become quite adept at poking them into place, a new study from researchers from Arizona State University suggests users are not very good at dealing with lenses once they’re done with them. All those tiny discarded plastic discs, they report, are adding up to a big environmental problem. According to the findings, presented Sunday at the 256th National Meeting & Exposition of the American Chemical Society, anywhere from six to 10 metric tons of plastic lenses end up in United States wastewater annually. Because of the way wastewater is treated, all that plastic ends up contributing to microplastic pollution currently building up in waterways, which eventually makes its way into the food chain. It’s an especially timely problem as the use of contact lenses is steadily rising.
